We started WS Group not to get rich, but because at that point in our careers, having worked with all sorts of different folks, we wanted to make sure we consistently worked with good people. That included choosing our clients. Because the best work happens when you trust your client and your client trusts you.
We wanted the ability to attract the best of the best, because we know that good people know good people.
The funny thing about working with great people and great clients is that success happens. And when you are successful, you get paid.
I am the type that lives for a good challenge. If its too easy its not as much fun as when you are working hard with a team to solve difficult problems.
I’m very good at communicating, and very good at getting things done. But most importantly, ask almost anyone who has worked with me and they will tell you the work was not easy, but it was a lot of fun.
I’ve enjoyed and am proud of many accomplishments professionally and personally in my career. Here are a few:
- Building the 5 year technology plan for the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada
- Saving a $2B+ outsourcing deal from falling apart
- Creating the curriculum and teaching hundreds of students the courses required to achieve formal accreditation in 3rd party complex vendor management
- Negotiating and saving over $1.1B in vendor hard costs for a US based fortune 500 company
- Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, and making it to the summit
- Raising children
